The
Hooks had their first 7:30 pm game of the season and it was chilly for late
April! Lots of kids on both teams were
sporting their Under Armor to keep warm.
It
was another tough loss for the Hooks, but they had some positives come out of
the game tonight. The outfielders did a
great job getting the ball in quickly and the infield was baseball ready all
night. The Hooks had some players in new
positions tonight, getting the players more experience at different spots on
the field. One thing is for sure, the
Hooks didn’t give up tonight and played hard until the end. Here’s a quick look at the Hooks tonight:
Zach: Did
a good job pitching and being ready defensively infield
Nathan: Smashed a hit to the centerfield
warning track and did a good job pitching
Davis:
Put in good work
behind the plate catching and backing up teammates in the infield
Trey: Hard hit ground ball get to the fence for a triple and RBI and played good defense at 3rd base
Channing: Rocked a hit for an RBI &
part of a great “pickle play” to get the Grasshopper player
out
Hayden:
Great job on 3rd base
and being baseball ready in the infield
Will:
Ripped a hit for
a single and did a great in the outfield
Luke:
Another RBI tonight
and did a great job in the outfield getting the ball in quickly
Ryan:
First catcher’s
appearance & worked hard behind the plate and part of the
"pickle play”
Jacob:
Good job
pitching and being ready in the infield and outfield
Brock:
Great job in outfield
backing up his infield teammates and being ready
Grant: Good
job pitching and great infield defense and part of the “pickle play”
Again,
everyone contributed to the team today!! Go Hooks!!
Final
Score: Hooks 3, Grasshoppers 16
